Live BroadCast Tonight!!!
So the awesome Sarah Fridrich agreed to have me broadcast her set tonight, that will be awesome. It will be a great way for me to experiment with my equipment and see if this will all work as I plan.
Her set starts around 8:30pm tonight, so hopefully I would have tested out everything there before I do anything drastic =). I will also try to see if I could simultaneous “record” her (at least on video) so she should YouTube that sucker.

Wicked Awesome
So much coolness is happening this week.
#1- I picked up my diploma yesterday, w00t.
#2- My CDs just came in, you know, the ones I’m planning to sell for gas money on my California Odyssey
#3- Friday is pay day, and also the day in which I will get my Degree framed, eeek.
#4- no MICA on Monday, sweeeet.
Long weekend here I come. Hopefully I’ll be able to do something FUN with my Monday off.
#5- I’m about to write a Blog about Kindle vs eReader, its something I’ve always wanted to do, since I’m planning to buy one once I get settled in Cali. So if your interested make sure to check out my Tech Blog:ashNOLOGY later today.

My 1st Live Broadcast/Performance
As you all know by now, I’m preparing my self to do a live broadcast, and since I have a show coming up on Thursday 9/11/08, then I figured, why the heck not. It will give me a chance to actually try out this whole thing, and also give those of you who can’t come to the show a chance to see me play.
So here is the info

The Ash vLogs
I finally did it =).
I was able to get my webCam to work, and its working great, with only 2 minor problems:
#1- It doesn’t have a built in mic [which is why I have both a headset mic & a normal mic, as well as several other recording devices so no problem there]
#2- Lighting. Basically if I’m not standing under a direct source of light, I become invisible. So I’ll have to make sure either there is good lighting, or I shoot outside in the sun, or buy a small lighting kit..we shall see how it all goes.
Now, I introduce to you The Ash vLogs.
That is the name of my video blog page on uStream.tv, of course there is nothing in it yet, apparently they only accept ‘live’ broadcasting, so I’ll have to get one done to put something up.
So for all of you who can’t get enough Ash-ness, I have done my part =).
I will of course post HerE when a new vLog is out, and if you look to your right, you will find “The Ash vLogs” under the Blogroll section for your convinced, see how easy I make it for you. Its a “just click and enjoy” type of entertainment, it can’t get any easier than that people.

Project Earth
So the discovery channel has this cool new show called Project Earth, it basically talkes about Geo engineers and their controversial idea to cool the planet. This will air every Friday at 9pm, for a duration of 4 weeks? because each episode is a different project.
The one today was actually pretty cool, the solution to the melting glaciers in Greenland, they covered an area with reflective material, and it actually worked. The only problem is, they think that it will cause more CO2 in the air getting and creating the material in order to cover larger scales. So if there is no “green” way to actually execute this in a larger scale, then it will sadly be only used at a much much smaller scale.
This got me thinking, and even a bit inspired to take my “Blue Box” idea a bit more seriously. I had this crazy concept to be able to create re-usable energy with liquid & a car battery. I just don’t have the engineering know how to actually make it, but if I am able to “hopefully” find people who want to save the planet, who happen to be engineers and/or robotic enthusiasts, than maybe the Blue Box could be customized to power vehicles, think Electric Car on Steroids, then THAT could be used to help move all the material to where it needs to go without harming the planet.
The only thing keeping me from taking this seriously, is the fact that I’m neither an engineer nor an inventor, so I doubt that my idea could be of any significance compared to, well, engineers and inventors. Besides, there are much more qualified (more pro-active) people out there, and if they hadn’t thought of it, then maybe its not plausible in the first place. I don’t know, maybe I should just stick to trying playing music, I seem to do pretty well in that area =)

Welcome Peoples =)
First off, thanks for checking out my Blog. I am VERY excited about this, I can’t wait to start talking about all the great (mis)adventures I am about to embark on, but I would have to get on the road first =).
So as many of you know, I will be starting my California Odyssey in October 1st with my musical buddy Nomad, I will be using this blog to keep you all informed on our ventures. As of now, we have already landed a 45 minute gig in Nashville Tennessee, which is a good sign. Hopefully our “friends” will contact us back and provide more venues for us to play.
So far I have 99% of my DVDs (and all my U2 CDs) packed into one of those CD/DVD holders, I haven’t even started on any other CDs or any other kind of packing for that matter. Hopefully mom would be able to provide me with a large travel bag this weekend, she tends to travel a lot so she would know best. I’m trying to take my bare minimums, which means attire I KNOW I will ware, my 2 laptops, and of course my precious =). And maybe a bag of dates (in case we can’t get to food)
As you see, I have a lot to prepare, especially since the odyssey starts in 5 weeks or so.
